When Stars Collide Dragonfly

I decided to add some simple nail art to When Stars Collide. I used Gosh Holographic Hero for the dots and the dragonfly wings. The dragonfly's body was done with Wet n Wild Black Creme.

Enjoy the photos!

Ibotta app

I normally don't post stuff like this here, but I figured it's about time!

Recently I've been using an app on my iPhone called Ibotta. With this app (which is completely free by the way!), you earn cash back for items you buy at the store. Most of the items are grocery products, but you can also earn money back on health and beauty, paper products, pet supplies, cleaning products, etc.

I've been using this app for a few months and have earned about $15. It doesn't seem like a lot, but it's $15 I didn't have! And I earned that $15 by buying the listed project and uploading a picture of my receipt. Super easy! Ibotta cash back can be combined with store sales, store coupons, manufacture's coupons, etc. If you plan carefully, you can get great deals on items.

If you are a first timer and sign up, you can earn $2 right off the bat.  Ibotta is available as an app for both Android and Apple phones, but be super to check for your specific phone.

If you'd like to try out this program, I'd love it if you used my referral link :)

Thanks! And let me know if you start saving money!

China Glaze When Stars Collide

China Glaze When Stars Collide is another color I got from the China Glaze Holographics Collection. I kept debating over this color, and boy am I glad that I chose to get it! It's gorgeous and perhaps my favorite.

It went on with one super easy coat. The formula is flawless and clean-up was minimal.  Enjoy the picture spam!

This last picture was taken in the shade, and you can see that it still looks beautiful. I loved When Stars Collide so much that I put it on my toes too!

Moon Boot Zig Zag

What's this?! I added nail art to my mani?! Never!! Hehe. I told you I can't leave anything alone! At least I am learning to do some simpler things.

For this, I free handed a sort of zigzag design using Barry M Foil Nail Effect Silver. It's great for nail art since it's so opaque.  I really need more of this color (and the silver too). Luckily my sister-in-law lives in Ireland and will be visiting hopefully this summer so she can bring me more :)

My zig zag design is a bit off center, but I still like it. Sorta reminds me of mountains, don't ya think?

China Glaze Strap on Your Moonboots

I wasn't planning on getting any of the polishes from the new China Glaze Holographic 2013 collection. BUT...someone alerted me to some for sale for $5 with free shipping on Amazon. Plus I had some Amazon credit so how could I not?!

I chose three polishes, and today I have China Glaze Strap on Your Moonboots. Several bloggers have already reviewed these, but I'll add in my opinion too.

This went on in one coat! One! The formula was fantastic: not too watery or thick, no dragging, and great dry time. I needed practically no clean up.

I also love this color. The deep navy blue is not something you see often with linear holos. And while I love holos, I do like the subtle effect here. Sometimes I don't want to wear an in-your-face blinding, distracts-me-while-driving holo. These China Glazes will be perfect for that.

And while these are beautiful in the sunlight, they are equally pretty in the shade which is why I decided to get some.

OPI Canberra't Without You

I did a swap not too long ago and got this beautiful polish. I've been on the look out for some paler/nude polishes that can function as nice bases for nail art or for French manicures.  I think OPI Canberra't Without You fits the bill.

Canberra't Without You is from the Australia Collection released in Spring 2007. It's still available on Amazon though, if you're interested in snagging it.

I would call this a sheer peachy nude with tiny flecks of silver which really makes it stand out. Other reviews say the silver tends to stick to the side of the bottle but plenty made it onto my nails! You can see them pretty well in the first photo and in the macro shot below too.

Since I can never leave a polish alone, I decided to add some glitter (glittah!) on top.

I went with one of my favorites Lynnderella Connect the Dots. Normally, I only use it over bright colors, but I love how it looks over this nude too.

I totally should have made a jelly sandwich with these two polishes! Too bad I didn't realize it until now :( I'm not wearing this mani at the moment.

Emily de Molly Harmony

Just a super quick post today while the little man is napping because I have a ton I want to get done.

The one polish I managed to snag during the Emily de Molly restock at Llarowe was Harmony. I love gray and I love glitter so of course I had to get this one!

Harmony is a light gray creme polish with white, lavender, teal, and purple glitters plus super super fine holographic glitters.  It's been raining here so my camera didn't want to pick up the fine holographic glitters.

I used 2-3 coats for this mani. The formula was perfect. The first coat was pretty sheer, but it built up really nicely for the other coats.

Emily de Molly Cosmic Forces

I recently got Emily de Molly Cosmic Forces during the last restock at Llarowe. It's currently sold out, but Llarowe should be getting more stock in this month!

I don't always have time to keep up with the new polishes coming out, so I didn't even know about this one until by friend at Constantly Redone showed it to me. Then I had to have it! Luckily I managed to snag a bottle for her too :)

This polish is amazing. I mean it. Cosmic Forces is a dark purple jelly base with tons of different purple holographic glitters and a bit of pink glitter thrown in.  The formula was great and applied smoothly.

This picture isn't the best, but you can see the holographic effect of the small glitters as well as the large dots. Beautiful!

This macro photo really shows off the depth of this jelly polish. You can see the layers of glitter, but the jelly isn't so dense as to cover them. Perfection!
