Matte Lace Nail Art Design

For today's manicure, I went with a lace design. I love the look of lace manicures, but I rarely do them. I debated going traditional using a nude base with the black stamping, but I thought a colored base would be really cool.

For the base, I used Wet n Wild Through the Grapevine. It's much more of a pinkish leaning purple than it shows here. This polish is from the Megalast line so it has a huge curved brush. I have smaller nails so I'm not a huge fan of the big brush.

After applying the stamping image, I added a fast dry topcoat to seal in the design. After that was dry, I added Zoya matte topcoat. I haven't used matte top coat in a while, and I love how it looks over lace nail designs.

The plate I used is from Born Pretty Story, and is BP-L020. It's full of a ton of different lace designs.

Leopard Print Skittle Nail Art with Fresh Paint Guava

Artificial lighting
For today's manicure, I have a fun skittle style leopard print that is great for summer.

Artificial lighting
The main polish that I used is Fresh Paint Guava. It's one my favorite polishes to use for summer.
Fresh Paint polish is exclusively available at Five Below, but it can be easily found elsewhere.

Zoya Zuza

Today's swatch is Zoya Zuza. Zuza is a turquoise shimmer and goes on nicely in two coats. Zuza is an older polish from Zoya (released in 2012), but it's still available which is awesome!

Bright Pink Checkerboard Nail Art

Hello everyone! How are you today? I was up last night with an upset stomach so I'm a bit tired today. I do have a quick post to share with you today!

Artificial lighting

I've never done a checkerboard pattern so course I decided to completely freehand my first one lol. It didn't turn out too bad! You definitely need a steady hand for this. I'm a bit shaky today, so there's no way it would have worked.

Artificial lighting

I love mixing patterns and polishes so I decided to pair the checkerboard pattern with Zoya Dixie, a bright watermelon pink. That plus the heart on my index finger gives is sort of a punk rock feel, I think.

Sparkly Simple Zoo Nail Art

On Tuesday, we took a sort of last minute trip to the zoo. It was pretty nice out for July (I hate summer lol), and the animals were nice and active :)

Since I was changing my mani, the night before I decided to do a simple, cute zoo themed manicure.

I started with a base of Glisten & Glow Fairy's Tryst plus an accent finger of Painted Polish Stamped in Greenery 2.0

Using Stamped in Greenery 2.0 as well as Stamped in Guava from Painted Polish, I added some images from MoYou London Plate Tropical 06

Simple manis are some of my favorites, and this one was no exception :)

Simple Floral Nail Art | Cupcake Polish Sand by Me

For today's post, I created a simply floral mani based upon a mani by @manal (formally @naildecor).

I used Cupcake Polish Sand by Me as the base for this mani. It's super pretty holographic orange polish with pink shimmer. The tone of this orange is definitely unique, and I really like it.

To create the design, I created a dotted 5 pedal flower using white. Then I layered a white smaller flower on top and finally added a gold dot to the center.

I really love how this mani turned out! Sand by Me is super pretty in artificial lights (photos above) and natural lighting (the last photo below).

Painted Polish Stamped in Cinderelly

Today I'm featuring Painted Polish Stamped in Cinderelly. Painted Polish makes amazing creme polishes! Most of them are one coaters. They stamp well over white and black as well! I have several :)

Stamped in Cinderelly in a sky blue creme that applies in just one coat. The formula was really great for application and not too thick or thin. It was nice for stamping as well. I find some stamping polishes dry too fast, and this one didn't which was nice.

I applied it on its own as well as used it for stamping on my ring finger with Born Pretty Store plate BPL-024.

Space Nail Art with F.U.N. Lacquer Frost (H)

Hello! Today I have some space themed nail art featuring F.U.N. Lacquer Frost (H). Frost (H) is a multichrome polish that shifts between blue, purple, red, and green with added gold holographic glitter. It's soooo pretty, and basically a galaxy in a bottle. I don't see the red shift at all, and the green shift is harder to see. It's still lovely, and takes only two coats.

On my ring finger, I freehanded the Cancer constellation. I used the advanced stamping technique for the rocket on my middle finger. The stars on my index finger are stamped.

In the last photo, you can see much more of the purple shift.

Birthday Nail Art

Hey all! It's my birthday today which is another perfect excuse for a cute mani :) (Just kidding, that's everyday).

For my birthday, I traditionally use Deborah Lippmann Happy Birthday as well as OPI Guy Meets Gal-veston. Happy Birthday is self-explanatory, but the OPI is because I was born in Galveston, Texas.

I freehanded the balloon on my ring finger using Zoya Serenity and some black and white polishes.

4th of July Nail Art with Zoya

Today I have my 4 of July or American Independence Day manicure. Our festivities were on Saturday, but we didn't go. The weather was terrible (heat advisory then crazy thunderstorms), and I had a sick kiddo. I still enjoy doing festive manis though :)

For this mani, I used (mostly) nail polishes from Zoya, my favorite mainstream polish brand.

I used Zoya Sooki, Sia, and Alicia. Sia and Alicia are some of my favorite polishes from Zoya.

Sia is a stunning blue and just about opaque in one coat. I haven't tried it yet for stamping or watermarbling, but I should.

Alicia is a silver holographic with a touch of gold shimmer. That gold shimmer is so amazing and makes Alicia positively glow.

I finished off this simple mani by adding some stamping using Born Pretty Store Plate BP-11.
