Tonic Polish Whatever With Your However

I bought some new polishes at Polish Con. I'm so excited to use them all, plus I hate having untried polishes so expect them in the next few posts.

Today I have Tonic Polish Whatever With Your However. I actually waited in the Tonic line twice. This polish kept hovering in the back of my mind, and I had eventually had to go back for it. So glad I did! It's beautiful.

Needle Marble Blue and Grey Nails

This manicure is actually pretty old, but I haven't had a chance to post it yet.

For this manicure, I used Milani Blue Jay and KBShimmer How You Dune? Blue Jay was a gorgeous polish and almost a one coater.

For the middle finger, I used the needle marble technique. It wasn't my attempt, but it still looked cool.

Polish Con Manicure

So I accidentally took a blogging breaks, oops! Part of it was that my husband had surgery so I had all the chaos of preparing for that, then the surgery/hospital stay, and then I went to Polish Con Minneapolis 2018.

I've been to two previous Polish Cons that both previously took place in Chicago. Minneapolis was quite a bit farther, but still fun to travel to with my momma.

With everything, I still managed to come up a fun mani for Polish Con! The two hosts for this event were Chrissy from KBShimmer and Miranda from Ever After Polish so I used a polish from each for this manicure. I used KBShimmer Shore Thing and Ever After Louisa May Alcott.

Barielle Lemondrops

Today I have swatches of Barielle Lemondrops. It's a semi neon/super bright yellow. The formula was a bit streaky, and I needed 3 coats of fully cover my nail.

Back to School Chalkboard Nail Art with Glisten & Glow

Today I have a school themed chalkboard style mani because my little guy is headed off to his first day of Kindergarten tomorrow! He did well in 4K last year so I'm sure he'll love this year too.

For this mani, I stuck to polishes by Glisten & Glow. I started with Little Black Dress as my base coat. Then I used Jukebox & Jitterbug, Mother Flora, Mother Sea, and Mother Sky to stamp images from MoYou London plate Scholar 05.
I really liked this pastel polishes since chalk isn't usually vibrant so it was a nice effect. For some of the images, I mixed the polishes on the plate to give a sort of swirl effect.

After applying a fast dry top coat and letting it dry, I added a matte top coat to complete the effect.
