KB Shimmer Rise & Grind

I picked up KBShimmer Rise & Grind at Polish Con Minneapolis in September, and I believe it's the final polish from there that I needed to still show. I've worn it once before this mani, but my photos didn't do the polish justice so I needed to wear it again.

Rise & Grind is a gorgeous, super holographic light brown. I needed two coats for full opacity.

A-England Dragon

I didn't manage to get lightbox shots of this mani, but the polish is so pretty that I still wanted to show off the only indoor shot I got.

This is Dragon from A-England. It's a beautiful muted green scattered holographic that goes on well in 2 coats.

Mermaid Nails | Zoya Virginia

Wisconsin is currently having basically all of winter in one week at the moment. We had snow Wednesday. Today (Monday) we got tons more with blizzard like conditions at times, and Tuesday-Thursday our lows are going to be dangerously low.

Basically, it's the perfect time for a warm, mermaid themed mani!

I used Zoya Virginia as the main color accented with Zoya Levi. I stamped on the mermaid scales and added some gold studs as well.

Delush Polish The First Detective

The First Detective from Delush Polish was part of the November Polish Pickup for the theme of Badass Women. The First Detective is inspired by Olivia Benson from Law & Order: SVU. I love that show so I really wanted this polish.

I was a bit disappointed with this though. While the polish is still pretty, I feel like the magnetic effect isn't as strong. I used the magnet that came with the polish, but I wonder if other magnets were used for swatches.

Penguins | Tonic Polish Santa Baby

When I saw photos of Tonic Polish Santa Baby in the Tonic FB fan group, I immediately knew that I needed it. Luckily for me, it was still in stock (it's available as of writing this post as well!)

I ordered it with plenty of time to arrive before Christmas, but USPS "lost" it for a bit so I didn't get it until Christmas Eve. Fortunately, the color is so gorgeous that I didn't mind using it after the holidays :)
Santa Baby is a stunning red holographic. The formula is amazing and applied so well. I needed two coats, but didn't have to do any clean up.

I added some adorable penguins using the advanced stamping technique and plate BP-137.

Egyptian Style | Zoya Leighton

Hello all! 2019 hasn't had a great start.
I'm once again behind on posting, but I'm scheduling a bunch today so I should be able to catchup.

For today's mani, I started with Zoya Leighton. It's a gorgeous dark dark purple creme. It's not a one coater, but I think it could be when the bottle gets older.

I added some Egyptian themed stamping using MoYou Explorer 17

Pantone Color of the Year: Living Coral feat. Zoya Wendy

Today's mani is inspired by Pantone's Color of the Year: Living Coral.

I don't have a ton of coral polishes, but it's definitely a member of pink family that I enjoy more. After looking through my collection, I found Zoya Wendy which seems to be a really good match!

For this mani, I used Zoya Wendy as my main color. I added Zoya Cecilia for an accent.

On my ring finger, I started with a white base then did a smoosh technique with my stamper and all 3 polishes.

China Glaze Stone Cold

China Glaze Stone Cold is a fairly old polish in my collection and very well loved (look at that fill line in the bottle shot!)

I actually wore this mani on New Year's Eve. It takes 2 coats for full opacity and dries matte.

OPI I Love You Just Be-Cusco

Today's post in my backlog is a swatch of OPI I Love You Just Be-Cusco. I’m not normally a red person, but I got this because of my own connection to Cusco, Peru.

The tone of this red is stunning though, and I love how it looks on me.

I used two coats for full coverage.

KBShimmer Iris My Case

I hope you had a good New Year's Eve and that 2019 is off to a good start for you.

I'm starting off my 2019 with my first Happy Planner. I had a planner last year, but I think this one will help me be more organized. Plus my type A personality likes it better :)

To start off this year, I have a few swatches I haven't posted yet so I'm going to get those out of the way before getting back to regularly scheduled posts.

Today I have KBShimmer Iris My Case. I picked this polish up at Polish Con Minneapolis. KBShimmer makes the best crelly polishes. I was debating between this one and another color and asked Chrissy personally. She chose Iris for me, and it was a good choice.

I swatched this a while ago so I'm not sure if it took 2 or 3 coats, but it's beautiful either way.
